Good to know

  • Nothing is uploaded. The converter downloads once (about 13 MB) and then does the work on your computer.
  • What converts: paths, shapes, groups and text (as outlines), with each LightBurn layer becoming an XCS layer of the same colour. Photos and QR codes don't convert yet; the results list tells you when a file had any.
  • Open one file in XCS before trusting a batch. The .xcs format isn't published and xTool can change it. Tested with XCS 2.x on an xTool P3.
  • Check power on scrap first. XCS will show the material as unknown; pick yours and set power before you cut.
  • Open source (MIT). The same converter runs from the command line for whole libraries: github.com/Sand-Point-Studios-LLC/lbrn2xcs. Bug reports and sample files welcome.
